Fort Myers Club & Team Trial Class Assessment Event

Central Rock Gym Fort Myers is excited to launch recreational climbing clubs and competitive climbing teams at our new location!

To help every athlete find the program that best fits their age, experience, goals, and interests, all new athletes interested in joining our clubs or teams are required to attend a Trial Class Assessment.

As part of our program launch, we are hosting a special Trial Class Assessment Event:

Ages 4-18 years
Cost $40 per athlete (no refunds)
A separate registration is required for each athlete participating.

This assessment event is designed for athletes ages 4–18 who are interested in participating in either our recreational clubs or competitive team.

Our coaching staff will introduce athletes to climbing, evaluate movement skills and comfort on the wall, and help determine which program will provide the best fit for their development and goals.

No climbing experience is necessary and no equipment is required. We will provide everything needed for the assessment.

Please bring:
• A water bottle
• A small snack
• Comfortable athletic clothing suitable for climbing and active movement

A separate registration is required for each athlete participating.

Please note that drop-in enrollment in clubs or teams is not permitted for any athletes, including returning members. Participation in a Trial Class Assessment is required prior to joining any club or team program.

Can't make our July 18 Trial Class Assessment Event? No problem! We will have another event on the 25th and families who are unable to attend this special event can schedule a Trial Class Assessment during one of our regularly scheduled club practices by visiting https://www.teamcentralrock.com/trial-class.

We are excited to meet the next generation of Fort Myers climbers and introduce them to everything our clubs and teams have to offer!

All athletes, parents, and family members must abide by all Team CRG Atlanta Climbing Team Camp Policies and that failure to do so can result in removed from camp and/or the inablitiy for the athlete to register for any future Team CRG Atlanta training camps.

(PNTC ONLY) Only people who qualify for Nationals in at least one discipline can attend PNTC. Anyone who registers and does not qualify for Nationals in at least one discipline will be provided refund after Youth Sport Divisionals. If an athlete registers for the Sport/Bouldering Combined group and does not earn a spot to compete in Sport or Bouldering, they can request to switch to the Speed group if they have qualified to compete in Speed. This will be based on the number of open camp spots and may include athletes being placed on the waitlist for the Speed Group. Categories based on the USA Climbing Youth Category athlete was registered for during the 22/23 Season.

(PNTC ONLY) Camp registrations must be cancelled no later than May 16, 2023 to receive a refund or credit towards a future camp. This applies to all registrations except those athletes who’s registrations are cancelled because they did not qualify to participate in at least one discipline at the 2023 USA Climbing Nationals. The date for cancelation for those athletes will be June 6, 2023.

Camp spectating by family members is prohibited. The Team CRG Atlanta Climbing Team does not allow family members traveling with the camp participants in the gym while camp is going on. To receive the maximum benefits of this intensive training it is important for the athletes to remain focused and for the coaches to be able to do the training without distraction or interruption. Regular camp updates and photos will be posted on social media.
Camp athletes must abide by all Team CRG Atlanta Climbing Team Rules/Policies while attending camp including our Team CRG Atlanta Climbing Team’s No Phone Zone Policy except for during snack and lunch breaks. This policy will allow for a better level of communication between coaches and athletes as well as for a greater degree of athlete focused concentration and safety.
- All camp athletes will not be permitted to use their electronic devices during camp (except during snack/lunch) including cellphones, earbuds, headphones, mp3 players, etc. during practices and camps, unless given permission by a coach to utilize the phone as a training tool only.
